The purpose of the celebration is to mark the beginning of the "season of colors", spring, when the flowers bloom again after a harsh winter.

The rules of the festival are simple: to walk around the city, play with colors and exchange peace symbols with family and friends. "Holi" also means "to burn": during the festival, the symbol of "evil" is necessarily burned in fire.
